Iran aims for global agricultural leadership 

 

Tehran – Iran's Agriculture Minister has laid out a potentially transformative objective for the nation's agricultural industry to attain global leadership.

 

"We must view our agricultural output through a global lens – producing beyond our borders' needs to become a world-class food supplier," Gholamreza Nouri said. 

 

He added, “In this path, international interactions must be seriously pursued, regardless of how much we need to import goods and how much we need to export, and of course, considering that trade in the agricultural sector is a profitable matter for the country.”

 

 “We will strive to pursue trade in the agriculture and food sector beyond the country's needs, so that with surplus production, we can move towards a presence in the global market.”
